For more than 40 years the Episcopal Church Foundation's Doctoral Fellowship Program has provided financial support to scholars planning teaching careers in theological education. Now we are building upon that heritage to develop and nurture lay and clergy leaders to empower people at the congregational and grassroots levels for mission and ministry.
The new ECF Fellowship Partners Program will:
Award both academic and transformational ministry fellowships on an annual basis
Enable fellows to share their knowledge, experience and best practices with the wider Church in practical ways
Accept applications from candidates throughout the Episcopal Church and the global Anglican Communion
Through the ECF Fellowship Partners Program we hope to enrich lives, encourage habits of the heart and mind of God's people by enhancing lay and clergy leadership formation of the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion.
How will fellows be expected to share their learning experience? Fellows will be required to share their knowledge, experience, and best practices with the wider Church in practical ways. These might include some form of service, publications, workshops, or presentations. The ECF Fellowship Partners Program is intended to foster the spiritual formation of people in Episcopal congregations.
